Sharing an Architecture
How to invite technical reviewers, advisors, and team members to inspect your living architecture model.
Sharing an Architecture
Collaborating with advisors, senior architects, and team members is crucial for validating design choices before writing code.
Avylo allows project creators to safely share their architecture with external stakeholders while maintaining strict control over canonical changes.
Creator Authority & Role Boundaries
In Avylo, permissions are cleanly separated:
- Creator (Owner): Can modify Project Knowledge, approve or reject Architecture Decisions, apply Change Sets, and manage project access.
- Reviewer: Can inspect the architecture model, review decisions, trace evidence, and submit feedback comments or change proposals.
No Direct Overwrite
Reviewers cannot directly edit your canonical architecture. Any suggestions they make are delivered as Reviewer Proposals that you can review and accept.
How to Share Your Project
Step 1: Open the Project Share Settings
In your workspace top navigation bar, click Share.
Step 2: Configure Review Scope
Select the scope of access you wish to grant:
- Full Architecture Inspection: Reviewer can explore all domains, decisions, and health metrics.
- Scoped Review: Reviewer access limited to specific target domains or open decisions.
Step 3: Send Invitation
Enter the reviewer’s email address. They will receive an invitation link to access your project in Reviewer Mode.
